5. cribs/white rabbits OR white rabbits/tokyo police club - i just like the white rabbits LOTS. the cribs sound sucked even though i love love love the disc "mens needs womens needs whatever". and i hadn't heard of TPC until the week of the show, so had not enough opportunity to get to know them to love the show - they really aren't my style anyway.
*i'd maybe add spoon, but it was my 30th bday and i was too cocktailed to know for sure??? :(
& in last place:
just disappointing rather ... badly drawn boy. didn't play much i knew & ended by covering an f-ing journey song. journey people! ish.

I thought giving my Top Five would be easy but when I started thinking about it, I saw a lot of kick-ass shows this year and I actually took a considerable amount of time on this list. Way more than I should have for a mere blog comment...

*honorable mention: The Rapture (would have been in the Top 5 had they headlined)
Worst: The Format - Awesome band but the venue was horrible. It was 120 degrees with no fans or windows. F that. F it in its ass.
dearest jb: it WAS hard! i wanted the rapture on mine too, but alas - it wouldn't fit :( likely they didn't make it cause they 1. yes, didn't headline, but also because 2. they didn't play "first gear" oh, a first gear!
your list wasn't too good of a "comparison" though, since the only show we both saw was yer #2. would have loved to see interpol and clap your hands say yeah...

Francis here. wow, I've missed a lot. Need to check yer blog much much more often. Anyway here's my list

4) Badly Drawn Boy(Don't Stop Believin' Bobbi. Yeah Journey sucked but I knew all the songs sorry didn't get you cd before show. Also enjoyed waiting outside w you to voice our displeasure to the roadie)
5) Spoon(Yes, twas list worth or at least the first 3/4 of it, can't speak for the end;)
